After leaving the RAF he became a newsagent in Newark for 18 years and quickly become part of the local community. For the last 16 years he has lived in Northern Cyprus. It was a place he fell in love during the troubles in 1963. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
Bob served with the RAF in:
Maralinga, Australia and was one of the British personnel who witnessed the Nuclear tests, Uxbridge, Manby, Anglesey, Berlin, Digby, Lossiemouth and Credenhill to name a few places he was stationed but he also served as part of the force evacuating British personnel from Cyprus during the troubles in 1963.
